Brad Rives Named CFO of the Year by Business First

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville's business publication, Business First, has named E.ON U.S. Chief Financial Officer Brad Rives as the 2009 CFO of the Year for public companies. Rives, who has served as the company’s CFO since 2003, was recognized for his numerous professional achievements and dedicated community service.

"I am shocked and humbled by this honor," said Rives, as he accepted the award June 23 in Louisville. "I'd like to thank my family for their support. And I accept this award on behalf of all the people I've worked with at E.ON U.S. Our achievements are not accomplished alone, but as a team effort, and I'm grateful for the contributions of people across our organization."

At the inaugural awards presentation, Rives joined other CFO award winners in categories for small, medium and large private companies, nonprofits and community service.

Award winners were chosen from nominees submitted by Business First readers. The newspaper's editors selected three finalists in each category, and a panel of Louisville financial professionals chose the winners.
